The Hong Kong Pavilion is a three-storey building with an external aluminum and glass façade.

In conjunction with its international design and exhibition teams, Gammon developed the design concept of the Hong Kong Pavilion in line with the main themes provided by the World Expo organiser, namely "Better City, Better Life". The Hong Kong Pavilion's theme is "Hong Kong Potential Unlimited".

The pavilion is an iconic representation of Hong Kong's cityscape, with the three-dimensional characteristics of its façade highlighting the dynamic nature of Hong Kong.

Site preparation works on the Pavilion started by the end of 2008. The Pavilion has been finished by early 2010 for commissioning and testing ahead of the Expo opening on 1 May 2010.

The scope of this project included foundation works, sub-structure, steel frame superstructure, external façade, architectural finishing, fitting-out, exhibition, building services and all landscaping.
