The ONE is another iconic building in the heart of Hong Kong’s tourist hub. Its unique curtain wall design, together with the façade lighting is a highlight of the area.

The project was particularly challenging, being located in one of the territory's key tourist spots. Its occupied surroundings and limited construction site area required meticulous planning and sophisticated coordination in order to complete the project to the highest quality and safety standards.

Time was another big challenge in the project but, with concerted efforts and efficient management, Gammon completed the 150-metre structure in just 10 months.

To minimise nuisance to the public, Gammon also introduced many innovative and highly effective ideas during construction, including a dust screen that covered the whole building to reduce the spread of dust and minimise noise levels that may have affected the neighbourhood.

Gammon was the contractor for both of the foundation and the superstructure contracts. On completion in early 2010, The ONE is a modern retail complex with a gross floor area of 37,500 sq m.
