Gammon is appointed Management Contractor for the M+ Project

Gammon Construction Limited (“Gammon”) was appointed by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) today as the Management Contractor to oversee the completion of the M+ project.



Thomas Ho, Chief Executive of Gammon, said, “Gammon is delighted with the opportunity to play a key role in facilitating the sustainable development of Hong Kong as an international arts and cultural metropolis and an attractive tourist destination in the region. We are fully committed to embracing the challenges ahead and are confident that we will safely deliver the project to the highest quality and within the construction programme.”



To ensure the safe and efficient project delivery, Gammon will employ the advanced technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), 3D Scanning, RFID and adopt Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) in the course of the construction.



Construction works will soon be resumed with target completion by end of 2019.



The Company is holding the first meeting with WKCDA and relevant parties for formulating the work resuming plan this afternoon.

• M+ Building consists of a 14-storey vertical tower over a 3-storey podium and a 2-storey basement

• Conservation and Storage Facility which consists of a 9-storey tower with supporting basement shared with the M+ Building

• 2-storey interfacing carpark

• 16-storey Retail, Dining and Entertainment Building
