Gammon Chief Executive Thomas Ho Appointed Chairman of the Climate Change Business Forum Executive Committee
Mr Thomas Ho, Chief Executive of Gammon Construction Limited ("Gammon") will succeed Cathay Pacific Chief Executive Mr Tony Tyler as Chairman of the CCBF Executive Committee (ExCo) at the end of March.
Thomas Ho possesses over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and stands at the forefront of green construction. As an industry leader in this eco-conscious world, he advocates "use wisely, waste less and emit less" in all of the economic activities and implements these initiatives in the entire Gammon operation.
On becoming the new CCBF Executive Council Chairman, Mr. Ho observed, "Hong Kong is aiming to meet a significant carbon reduction target. The business contribution to achieving it will be critical. CCBF is committed to helping Hong Kong meet its goal, which we consider fundamental to our long-term competitiveness."
The ExCo Chair Handover Ceremony was held at The Upper House on 17 March and was presided over by CCBF Patron Chair CY Leung. At the event, representatives from CCBF member companies and guests bid farewell to Mr Tyler and welcomed Mr Ho.
