Gammon Engineering & Construction Limited (‘Gammon’) has been awarded the work contract of the Intermodal Transfer Terminal - Bonded Vehicular Bridge and Associated Roads (Contract C19W10) for Airport Authority Hong Kong.

The scope of works predominantly consists of construction of a bridge that will connect the two islands accommodating Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and the boundary crossing facilities for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). Roads and ancillary buildings will also be built under the contract. This project will facilitate a bonded vehicle service for transit passengers from Macao and Pearl River Delta travelling abroad via HKIA, and vice versa.

A comprehensive digital representation of the works will be created first, before on-site activities begin, to facilitate full stakeholder engagement on methods and planning and provide an asset-rich data model that will be included as part of handover.
