Inspecto to improve site inspection transparency
Gammon sees the digital innovation as a timely response to questions that have been raised recently about quality control on construction sites that have eroded public trust.
Inspecto seamlessly integrates a mobile app, dashboard, web portal, calendar and real-time notifications, hugely reducing paperwork, shortening inspection turnaround times and decreasing onsite interruptions. It supports of all Requests for Inspection and Survey Check (RISC) process tasks including RISC-status monitoring, on-the spot inspections and issuance of results.
The system also proactively sends real-time notifications and daily summaries of outstanding tasks for action. Inspecto is also equipped with blockchain technology, its shared, distributed and immutable ledger not only facilitate the collaboration among stakeholders, but more importantly, to regain people’s trust.
This latest innovation is just part of what Gammon envisions as a suite of digital tools aimed at fully integrating processes and people over the entire course of a project. That ranges from initial planning and design through to project management, resulting in a faster, safer and smarter approach to construction.
