Site Clerk (Ref: HK/CIV/J5205/443/10/jl) Hong Kong

We are currently looking for staff to assist in site administration duties for our construction projects in Hong Kong.  You will be responsible for providing site administration support, including issuance of purchase orders, maintenance labour / staff attendance record, inventory record and issue, and other general administration supports.

 

 

Requirements:

  • F.5 or above with at least 2 years' clerical / administration experience;
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word & Excel);
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese;
  • Willing to work at site office
Project Building Engineer (Ref: HK/BDG/J3262/454/10/jc) Hong Kong

You will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day engineering work, supervision of work progress and co-ordination of various activities at our construction projects. 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years' site working experience in building projects ranging from commercial high-rise to residentail and retail structures;
  • Experience in structural work co-ordination will be an advantage;
  • MHKIE (Building) or other similar professional qualification preferred;

Human Resources Officer (Ref: HK/HR/445/10/ec) Hong Kong
You will work in the C&B team to carry out the following duties:
  • Provide administrative support in employee record keeping and maintenance, payroll administration, benefits management and HR reporting for HK and Macau business;

  • Handle borehole core and trial pit logging;

You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Co-ordinate all grouting, ground treatment and related activities for tunnels, shafts and ancillary works;
  • Systematically trial and test materials and mixtures for optimum performance;
  • Co-ordinate procurement, storage and use of all grouting materials and plant ancillaries;
  • In conjunction with consultant, advise and implement systematic grouting, including recording, reporting and redesigning as conditions require.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering;
  • At least 5 years' experience in geotechnical projects, especially drill and blast tunnelling and / or TBM tunnelling;

Construction Supervisors (Civil / Foundations / Building) (Ref: HK/112/10) Hong Kong
You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site works in our civil, foundations or building projects.
 
Requirements:
  • Diploma or above in Civil / Building Engineering or equivalent disciplines;
  • Minimum 1 year's relevant site experience;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and AutoCad;
  • Willing to learn and hardworking.

Note: Candidates with less experience or qualification will be considered as Technician or Assistant Foreman.

Senior Engineers / Engineers - Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical (Ref:HK/E&M/035/10/il) Hong Kong
You will be responsible for directing and co-ordinating day-to-day site activities on Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
  • At least 5 years' relevant site working experience.
Site Administrator / Clerk - (Ref:HK/FIN/001/10/jl) Hong Kong
We are currently looking for staff to assist in site administration duties for our construction projects in Hong Kong. You will be responsible for site administration supports including issuance of purchase orders, maintenance of employees' attendance records and inventory records.
  • F.5 or above with at least 5 years' clerical / administration experience;
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred;
  • Knowledge of MS Office (MS Work & Excel);
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese;
  • Willing to work at site office;
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for the Site Clerk position.
 
Geologist (Ref:HK/CIV/184/09/ec) Hong Kong
You will be responsible for identifying any geotechnical factors affecting engineering works of our projects and carrying out the following duties:
  • Perform detailed technical analysis of earth material and risk assessment of geotechnical hazards;
  • Geotechnical mapping and discontinuity survey;
  • Field work inspection;
  • Borehole core and trial pit logging;
  • Experience in soil nailing works and drill record interpretation;
  • Undertake detailed rock slope and boulder surveys, mapping and report preparation;
  • Interpret geotechnical monitoring data (groundwater and ground movement).
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Geotechnical Engineering / Geology / Earth Sciences or equivalent;
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience in geological work;
  • Familiar in the use of geotechnical software DIPS;
  • Accurate, analytical and detail-minded;
  • Proficient in English and Chinese.

Note: Candidate with less experience may be considered for Assistant Geologist.

Planning Engineer (Ref:HK/CIV/J3238/09/ec) Hong Kong
You will be responsible for developing the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations for our projects and carrying out the following duties:
  • Plan and anticipate contract's demands in terms of labour, materials, equipment and technical challenges;
  • Develop tender / project master programme;
  • Monitor the site progress;
  • Identify changes and impact assessment, and work with the team to provide optimum solution for the works.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Civil / Building Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least 4 years' relevant experience on site and in the construction planning discipline;
  • Familiar with the use of Planning software - MS Project & Primavera;
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficient in English and Chinese.
 
Senior Tunnel Design Engineer (Ref:HK/DES/024/09/al) Hong Kong
Gammon maintains a large and well-established design group responsible for engineering work in all areas within which the company works.  A substantial portion of the work undertaken within the group involves design for tunnels, deep basements and foundations.  Projects handled include very complex underground and geotechnical work where we regard ourselves as leaders in the industry.
 
You will be joining a busy office where you will be able to acquire a unique mix of experience only attainable through exposure to a multi-disciplinary environment and through close association with those carrying out the actual work on site.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Mining Engineering;
  • A post-graduate qualification is preferred;
  • At least 5 years' experience in design with an emphasis on analytical work for underground works;
  • Familiar with statutory approval processes;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and be able to work independently;
  • Highly proficient in English and Chinese;
  • Occasional travelling may be required.
