Three Pacific Place, Hong Kong

Swire Properties and Gammon signed a contract, valued at HK$870 million, to develop Three Pacific Place - Swire Properties' latest commercial development.

To ensure total quality, the two companies develop a partnering framework for the project. The project team adopted a number of latest construction techniques to create safe and efficient working conditions on site, while minimising any adverse impact on the environment, and improving productivity and quality.

The Three Pacific Place project was the first development in Hong Kong to make full use of Prolog Manager, an on-line project extranet system. Project managers, consultants and building contractors will be able to access the system at any time from anywhere to communicate, review progress and make decisions, ensuring transparency of project data and accountability.

Completed in mid 2004, Three Pacific Place - the latest addition to the Pacific Place development - is located at One Queen's Road East, on a site that was originally occupied by pre-war residential buildings.

The development comprises an office tower with a gross floor area exceeding 629,000 square feet encompassing more than 40 floors of office space and a three-storey basement car park. Three Pacific Place breaks the boundary between Wan Chai and the Central business district, and further strengthens the well-established community around Pacific Place.
